On this day after Thanksgiving we did not do much more than just enjoy each other. I didn't want to venture out for any Black Friday shopping so I chose to do my shopping online this year. David went hunting early today so it was just me and the kids. We went down to Downtown Disney to enjoy the Lego playground and the multitude of Mickey and Princess toys. Brennan is obsessed with Mickey Mouse so he was very easy to keep up with as long as there was a Mickey Mouse book nearby to keep him happy. He LOVED following Amelia around so he could do whatever she was doing. After playing in the toy store, I took the kids on the train ride there in the center. This was Brennan's first train ride and he was so excited. He kept waving at Amelia when he would see her car in front of him and then again at all the people as he passed them by. The smile on his face was priceless!!! I am so blessed!

This weekend has been so fun! We started on Thursday evening (at least I did) with a midnight release of New Moon. I absolutely loved these novels and seeing them on the screen just makes me want to read, read, and reread them again. I had never seen Twilight on the big screen so I went with some friends and we did the marathon. I LOVED it and it was so fun to go with other people who have read the books. I can't wait to see it again.

From my long night with vampires, we headed as a family to Jacksonville for the evening. We haven't been there in a few months so it was good to see family and let Amelia play with her cousin. We will be visiting some more friends in Jax so Amelia can see her Bradley before we leave.

Saturday involved us making a family trip to Gainesville to see the Gators take on FIU. This was the kids' first game. We did the whole thing and went to the Gator Walk before hand. It was crowded but Amelia got to see Tebow and we got a pic. From there we went to the book store and made sure we had tattoos and poms for the game. Then it was game time. We had pretty good seats and the weather was perfect. The only drawback was that the game was at 12:30 p.m. so it was right at Brennan's nap time. The first half was hard for him to get through because he was so tired. But, I got him some ice cream and everything was better for the rest of the game :) The really cool thing was that we ended up being about 4 seats down from some good friends of ours and it wasn't even planned. Out of 90,000 people in the stadium and we were in the same row as the Kelsey family. So neat!!! The Gators scored quite a bit and Amelia LOVED the wave and Gator cheers. It was really fun seeing her enjoy the game and pageantry. Go Gators!

Both kids crashed after the game before we even left the campus. It was a very peaceful ride home. I can't wait to take them to another game..hopefully a 3:30 p.m. game next time :)

So...yes it has been a while since I have added an update. Let me see if I can catch ya up on some of our past doings. Amelia had her first soccer season. She was a member of the Eagles and even scored a goal. I have added a video of her goal to our videos page. She finished the season today and is already asking when she can play again. That makes my heart really happy!!!

Amelia was a little under the weather around Halloween. Luckily I had a teacher work day on the 30th so since she was feeling better we had a date just her and I. We went to Sea World and enjoyed the Spooktacular. She is finally tall enough to get on all the rides without question so we had fun riding EVERYTHING! And we did ride everything because it was just the two of us! I had so much fun hanging out with just my little lady.

For Halloween, Amelia decided to be Snow White. She received several princess outfits for her birthday and had decided to be either Ariel or Aurora depending on the weather. Then after we came home, she wanted to watch Snow White and be Snow White for the evening. She was just excited to get to wear a little bit of make-up. Brennan was a gator football player. He wore his Tim Tebow jersey and some football pants. He was so cute when we walked up to the doors. He would watch Amelia knock on the door and then stop right before he got there and knock in the air. He would say "Trick or Treat," but he wanted to hold his candy instead of putting it in his pumpkin. A milestone for Amelia was that she got to go all the way around the block instead of just the street. She felt so big!!!

As for me....I have gotten back into running and have run two official races. I have lowered my last race time by 8 minutes. My goal is to get my 5k down to under 30 minutes. I have also committed to run a half marathon on March 7th. My next race is Thanksgiving day for a low key 5K. Wish me luck in my training.
