This weekend we went on a family camping trip to the Great Smokey Mountains. It was so much fun spending three night in our tent and cooking dinner on the fire. We took two family hikes and drove around Cades Cove Loop. There were five black bears! We usually get lucky and see one, but five was impressive. We also saw elk on our trip. This was the first time I have ever seen elk on the east coast. They are definitely smaller than the west coast elk, but elk none the less. All in all it was a fun relaxing time and I can;t wait to go back and enjoy the mountains some more.
