Christmas Day was so much fun!!! The kids were tuckered out I guess because neither of them got up until 8:00. David and I were awake at 7:00 and were just waiting for the kids to wake up. This would be the one day they decide to sleep in. Well, Amelia made it to our room to tell us, "You have to get up!" When asked why she responded because "Santa came and he left presents and candy canes". I can't believe she noticed the candy canes I left in our Santa container. After a morning of fun watching the kids open their gifts and me learning how to use my new Garmin running watch (Thank you soooo much David!!!) we headed to our neighbors for a Christmas morning tradition. I LOVE our neighbors. We were so blessed to be placed on this cul de sac with a group of GREAT God fearing people who LOVE the Lord. Anyway, the tradition is one of our neighbors make a birthday cake for Jesus and the entire cul de sac is invitied over to sing Happy Birthday and share the cake. This year was extra special because one of our neighbors moved away but still joined us via Skype. It was so cool and I am so glad that my kids get to see that so many other people love the Lord and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. We finished the evening with a jaunt on the town to see some Christmas light. We didn't go very far but I so enjoyed listening to Brennan and Amelia awe over the light. Brennan has really started talking and getting so expressive about things. It is just too much fun! I love my family!

Today we got to go to Disney for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I was fortunate enough to win a contest and we got 4 free tickets to enjoy the event. I have always wanted to take Amelia to see this and Brennan now that he is a big fan of Mickey. The evening started with a meet and greet with Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto in our new Mickey Christmas hats. Amelia thought it was the coolest thing and Brennan was just in awe that Mickey was soooo close and REAL! He just stood there pointing at Mickey and saying his name over and over with the hugest grin. He wasn't too sure about getting his picture with them, but he LOVED just seeing them in person. There was beautiful lights, snow flurries, free hot chocolate and cookies, and short lines. We got to ride all the rides we wanted too and both kids had a blast. We even went to a Charachter dance party were Brennan strutted his stuff. I think it was his favorite thing to do the entire evening. He was not a fan of the 3D movie because he gets so emotionally involved with the charachters and he was so worried about the flying instruments and Donald. He was okay once we took the glasses off though. Both kids enjoyed the Fireworks and Parade and stayed up past 12:30 a.m. They did finally crash when we got in the car but they were real troopers! What a fun evening!
